…Or so they say here in Texan.  I saw that a RED logo for the Dairy Queen, which is a soft serve ice cream place I like to frequent but haven’t yet this trip, is a “Texan stop sign.”  I will be staying with another friend of mine tonight south of Dallas after visiting with the video production people all last night and today.  Many possibilities abound but it all requires funding and doing the grant writing bit.  Oy, so much to think about when putting a DVD together but I think I definitely have the content, thanks to my wonderful students’ research papers, interview quotes, Powerpoint presentations. I just need help with the technical, the funding and then marketing our “History Matters” promo.  It will require incremental steps to see this come to fruition.

Texas is GREAT, I drove on the President George W. Bush tollroad yesterday and paid $1.50 in toll for the privilege to drive on it.  Otherwise, I would have been caught in rush hour traffic gridlock.  The attendants were actually friendly who took my money at each toll booth.  Ah, I’m back home again in the US of A where people smile whether they mean to or not. 8)
