Blogs and Future Events

My favorite quote for the last several months has been “By endurance, you will gain your lives.”  I don’t know why I keep going back to that over and over again.  Could it be that just before that passage speaks of future events?   Future cataclysmic events?  I’m sure people who were trying to survive during Ukraine’s Holodomor or WWII Nazi occupation were convinced it was End Times for them.  Perhaps they were able to have patience in their tribulation, if they ever ran across that quotation.

Anyway, different translations from Luke 21 show a nuance to verse 19.  I keep going back to it as a thirsty soul for clear, clean water.  Maybe in the future I’ll have to fall back on that as a kind of life raft.  For now I am trying to master blogging and it feels like a sink or swim proposition.  But so many others are doing it and it helps to look at other examples. 

 As a teacher trying to inculcate good learning skills and habits into my students, it is as the Chinese talk about where the teachers open the heads of their students and pour in knowledge.  Yes, maybe I’ll be doing a bit of that too but this process of learning is a give and take and learning from each other.  Who would have thought even 10-15 years ago that we could have an audience that is the world?  Blogs are amazing!!!
